Chinatown in Arkansas

From KARK news:  Little Rock. 2007
jacksonville2007-07-30-1185853082.jpg     Some of the country’s bigger cities have areas called china-town, and if a Jacksonville businesswoman has her way, the city will have its own Asian town.

That's what Sue Khoo envisions for the city's downtown area.

She's purchased all the space in a strip mall where she currently owns a store called Unique Furniture.

She'll leave Chambers Drugs as is, but everything else will make way for an Asian-inspired shopping district. "We're going to have retail and restaurants like Chinese, Korean, Japanese and India and Cambodia and all different gifts and restaurants and also we'll put in a museum in so people can look at all different cultures and that's why I'm doing this,” Khoo says.

Once everything's finished, this project will cost about 6 million dollars.
